The Empirical Reasoning Center is a centralized support system that helps students and faculty with all kinds of “empirical reasoning,” or the use of data to describe people and things and apply critical reasoning to make inferences about those people and things. We offer a variety of services to faculty, students, alumnae, and staff including workshops and consultations. This site presents tutorials, projects, and reflections our student staff and post-backs have written to help Barnard students see the possibilities with data and make it easier for them to work with data.
